Resort 2013 microtrend: blue leather

It seems that nothing says "holiday" more than a blue leather jacket. For Resort 2013 season fashion designers have reinvented the ubiquitous leather piece by dipping it in different shades of blue from posh cerulean to urban navy. The styles include also a leather trench (Reed Krakoff) besides the now classical motor jacket and the blazer. For a striking outfit, the blue leather jacket makes best team with crisp white and luscious black, but some other blue, beige and gray shades can be thrown in the mix.

Whimsical design by Kronkron

I love the colorful, cheerful, whimsical aesthetic of Kron by KronKron shoes. They look like coming right out of the Wonderland after being on a Galapagos adventure and on an African safari. The thick soles and heels make them super-comfy while the use of fine suede, patent leather and velvet put the Kron shoes in the luxury range. Tinted in bold color blocks in mix with white, black and gray, decorated with bows, frills and tassels this could sound a little too much but they can be a true staple in an imaginative wardrobe.

A shocking pink spring

Resort and couture collections also highlighted color trends for future seasons. Next spring it's pretty sure that if you won't wrap yourself in pink at least you'll get a glossy pair of shoes. From sweet lovely blush hues to fuchsia, pink was all around..

Fashion trends from the world's streets

I've been doing a little street fashion research lately, which I absolutely adore doing, and several fashion trends popped up. I think I'll make this a weekly post, what do you think?

1. Denim jeans

High-waist skinny jeans in dark blue/navy. I love the super high-waist looks on the New York girl, in fact I love her entire outfit: the leather jacket, the gray boots, dark shades...just lovely.

Color block lady bags

Bold colors are a huge trend for fall 2007 season. Colored handbags and shoes are a welcomed change in the neutral palette. They bring to live any dreary winter wardrobe.
And the good news is that you don’t have to match your shoes with your bag, in fact it’s essential not to match them!
