Romanian Fashion Week: Claudia Castrase

One of my favorite collections shown at Romanian Fashion Week is "Geometrics" by Claudia Castrase. The designer made her debut with the fall 2007 season and, in a very brief time, she has developed a well-established brand and a recognizable style based on simple, minimalist cuts, mostly body conscious and a preference for abstract, geometric details.

For her fall 2008 collection, suggestively called "Geometrics", she uses contrasting V shaped strips as leitmotif. Different sizes, colors and fabrics, the graphic theme is found in every garment, be it dresses, skirts or jumpsuits.

The colors: bright blue and yellow alongside neutral white, black and grey emphasize the geometric pattern while the soft, comfortable fabrics (wool, kasha, and jersey) add a lot of chic appeal.

The shoulders on some of the tops look too "Star Trek" for me, but I really love the skirts. The V-shaped stripes look very modern and quite flattering.

HI!

your blog is cool,
let´s exchange links?

a kiss!

Her collection is great! I really like and would wear it almost entirely! I like especially the skirts and dressees. Way to go for her!

I just realize now that the V-shape is so attractive.
