What to wear before fall

What is your in-between-seasons favorite wardrobe pieces? The ones that go perfectly with the last days of summer yet “stating” the upcoming fall's trends? Here are some sartorial ideas gathered from the pre-fall 2010 collections.

Floral print goes beyond summer days only now chose rich, autumn colors on deep colored background. A dress (a shirt or even a coat) in dark florals is a great way to end August and start the fall season.

A Lady in Red 2010 version

We've seen quite a lot of spectacular fire red dresses on the red carpet in these summer months. Certainly the red color has always been present at glamorous event but how is that it's so classy and fashionable all at once?

Pantone spring 2010 fashion color report

Pantone color report, published this September, brings news of optimism in spring 2010 fashion. “Splashes of sunshine” is next season’s motto inspired by vibrant hues seen on New York runways.

Lively bright shades: soothing Turquoise, Amparo Blue, romantic Violet, gleaming Aurora yellow and refreshing shades of orange (Fusion Coral) and red (Tomato Purée) add a sense of joy while luxurious but practical neutrals (bubbly Pink Champagne, warm beige Tuscany, the ultimate green Dried Herb and the cool gray Eucalyptus) complement what you already own in your wardrobe.

Fashion Color Report Spring 2009

Spring 2009 will see the return of bright, cheerful colors in tempered combination with "deeper, translucent or neutral tones". Pantone Color Institute and New York fashion designers released a full report on the fashion colors, inspirations and must-haves for spring 2009.

Green is definitely the color of spring 2009 as it will invigorate us
and our wardrobes with three different tones: the quintessential
spring hue Vibrant Green, the calmer and sophisticated Dark Citron, and
clean, clear Lucite Green with a subtle shimmer.

A shocking pink spring

Resort and couture collections also highlighted color trends for future seasons. Next spring it's pretty sure that if you won't wrap yourself in pink at least you'll get a glossy pair of shoes. From sweet lovely blush hues to fuchsia, pink was all around..

Red, White and Black

I love this crisp and dynamic trio of red, white and black. It's a classic one but always looks young and fresh. Many designers used it for their spring 2008 collections and I can see why. Neutrals combined with pops of bright red creates unique, distinctive outfits. All shades are used: poppy, tomato, rose red for an attention grabbing modern look.
